Laura-Lynne Funnelle is the Clinical Nurse Educator for the In-House Perioperative Program at Abbotsford Regional Hospital within Fraser Health Authority. After completing her nursing diploma in 1996, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership. With 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the operating room, Laura-Lynne has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to patient advocacy, evidence-informed practice, and perioperative excellence. Throughout her career, she has embraced a variety of leadership roles, including Patient Care Coordinator, where she supported clinical teams and contributed to advancing quality patient care within the surgical environment. In addition to her clinical and leadership experience, Laura-Lynne with the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) and remains an active member of the Quality Improvement Team. Her dedication to advancing perioperative nursing extends beyond her organization through her involvement with professional associations. She currently serves as Secretary for ORNAC and is passionate about continuing to build on the exceptional work of the Perioperative Nurses Association of British Columbia. Email: president@pnabc.ca
